Early Life

Luis Mojica-Rodriguez, also known as El Pinto De Puerto Rico, was born on March 8, 1980 in Puerto Rico and raised in The Bronx, New York. He was born with Giant Congenital Nevus (GCN), a rare skin condition that covers much of his body with a birthmark. Despite relentless bullying and a battle with cancer at age 17 that left him with a permanent limp, Luis found empowerment in embracing his differences. “They told me I couldn’t be a model because of my birthmark,” he once said, “so I became a model because of my birthmark.”

Career

Luis worked for 17 years as a paralegal in New York City before the pandemic pushed him to pursue his passion for modeling and acting. He enrolled at the John Casablancas Center, where he trained intensively and improved his mobility. He gained recognition at the IMTA convention, earning an improv acting award and agency representation.

Luis’s career soared after walking in major shows during New York Fashion Week 2024. He lost 50 pounds, won 1st Place Men’s Judge’s Choice and 2nd Place Theme Wear in a Tennessee modeling competition, and was featured in campaigns like Nevus Global on Times Square billboards.

He later filmed and starred in his debut movie, “A Man’s Worth” (coming soon), and appeared in the music video “Now I Rise” by Lourds Lane. At Anastasia Magazine NYFW 2025, he was honored with Best Host and Mr. Congeniality, proving his talents beyond the runway.

As a proud Puerto Rican, Luis was invited to both the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC and the Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade. His cultural pride and unique presence make him a standout figure in the entertainment industry.

Mission and Influence

Luis is on a mission to empower individuals with visible differences and reframe perceived “flaws” as sources of strength. In 2025, he was selected from over 100,000 applicants to compete for Actor and Model of the Year at a global convention. His message focuses on inclusion, representation, and authentic beauty.

Online Presence

Luis connects with fans and shares his journey on Instagram and TikTok as [@mojica_entertainment](https://www.instagram.com/mojica_entertainment), and continues to expand his platform through YouTube and visual storytelling.

In His Own Words

“My mission is to show the world we are human and beautiful… to help others know their worth even if others say otherwise.”
